MOVING OUT… again!

We are moving out again:(… the unit that we are currently renting was sold already. Hay! Our contract ends at the end of December but the new owner is requesting if we can move out by mid-October. Oh my! We have lots of things, not to mention the new things that we bought for the little boy.

So now, Alvin and I are checking properties that are for rent… the rental fee is going up but the company budget is still the same. Yay! Good luck to us. I am also starting to pack things that I will be sending back to the Philippines. For sure Alvin will send most of my stuffs back home!:-> I will also look for a mover that has a thule rack to accommodate all our things.

Hopefully we’ll find a nice place like this one… so far, this is the best that we’ve had here in Singapore. Though it is small, we find this very ideal for us. This house is also memorable for us since our little boy was born here. I simply love this place; so accessible, quiet, very private and most of our neighbors are expats.:) Hay, we thought that the little boy will grow up here and will have some Aussie friends.:))

Sadness.:(

Post Natal Check Up 2

I finally had the time to go to my doctor for my post natal check up… My doctor told me that I look good now:); no more swelling. I am now back at my pre-pregnancy weight and I love it! My arms and legs are even thinner now but my tummy is… urgh!:( I also have slight acne, maybe due to hormonal change.

My doctor did a pap smear, breast exam and ultrasound to check my uterus. She also advised me to wait at least a year before having another baby. She even asked me to come back after a year! Well, if ever I’ll have another baby, I still want her as my doctor even if she talks very fast and the wait time is sooo long.:x

***

I already sent her a gift after I gave birth but I still want to send a thank you note with my little boy’s picture… It’s a common practice here in Singapore that mothers send thank you notes with picture/s of their little ones. That’s why most of the doctor’s clinics are full of pictures. And it’s so cute.:)

Growing Up

The little boy grows up so fast… so everyday, I see to it that I take pictures of him even with my not so techy hand phone. My 1 GB SD card is almost full already. Though the image quality is not as good compared to my LX3, I still prefer using it since the little boy is not fond of posing for the camera. He stops smiling every time he sees me taking pictures of him. :)

His latest picture with Bee:

Nursery Room

When we were in PP with the the little boy, I had the chance to sneak out and look for Lipovox after I fed the little boy in the nursery room. By the way, that was my first time to use the nursery room… I love it.:) There were separate cubicles for breastfeeding moms and I like their changing station. How I wish there will be something like this in Manila. In Manila, particularly in Glorietta and Shangri-la malls, there are pay toilets… the only difference is that tissues are provided and there are lotions, soaps and powder available. Funny but here in Singapore, tissues are readily available in toilets but no tissues are given when you eat at food courts which is exactly an opposite of how it is in the Philippines.:)

Hay, I miss Philippines… hopefully, my little boy will not experience brown out and low water supply when we come home in December. :->

Our Sunday

Last Sunday, we attended the afternoon mass in our neighborhood church with the little boy. He was well behaved, did not even cry… but slept during the homily and woke up after it. Well, just like his Grandma Ollie.:D We did not bring his stroller and I just carried him instead. He’s so heavy! Taking care of him is really an exercise, better than taking best weight loss pills.:)

After church, we went to Parkway Parade but this time, we used his Bee. I like using the Bee. So cool and easy to use… I think I can bring him alone next time. But alvin and I agreed that we will only bring the little boy in the mall once a month and just bring him down at least everyday in the poolside… We were able to buy onesies for him at Mothercare. He’s getting bigger everyday and he outgrew most of his clothes already.:)

For dinner, we just dined at Swensen’s… nothing really special with their food.:->

* Alvin had the Beef Wagyu Flavored Rice and I had the Fried Fish with Apricot Mayo. :)

Old and Fat!

I was hoping to upload some of the little boy’s pictures in our website when I came across our old pictures. Look how young and skinny:-/ I was then:

KL

The metal building / tower is the Petronas Tower in KL, it’s the best picture of it that we had.:)

Zoo

This was taken on my 27th birthday in the Zoo (spending time with relatives:D )

Looking at this makes me feel so old (and fat)! :)

Post Natal Check Up

It’s been almost three months already since I gave birth to the little boy… and up to now, I still haven’t scheduled my second post natal appointment with my doctor. It was supposedly on the first or second month after giving birth but I am still contemplating on when to go. I just need to top up some of my vitamins, calcium and fish oil, since I am breastfeeding. I still need to ask if I can also take multivitamins or if I should continue taking the prenatal vitamins that I still have. According to the package insert, the prenatal vitamins can be taken by pregnant and breastfeeding mothers but still, I want to make sure… and I don’t want to gain excess weight too.:)

Research : Health Insurance Provider

I am currently looking for a good international health insurance for me and for TamTam. Got a few quotes from BUPA, AIA, Aviva and NC health insurance. I’ve been seriously reading the details, coverage and cost that will suit our needs; hospitalization only or the one that also covers out-patient as well as prescribed medications.:-/

Worldwide Medical Insurance is expensive that’s why I am also checking local providers. But still clinging towards Worldwide coverage so that we can use it either here or in the Philippines. So far, our priority is the little boy’s insurance… since babies are more prone to sickness before they turn one year of age. And being hospitalized in Singapore is really something… S$500 per day for a single room is too much for someone’s budget.:(

I really need to decide which insurance provider and policy to get before the little boy’s third month birthday… and hopefully, he won’t be able to use it. :)

Cranky Little Boy

It was late in the evening and I was reading the top rated diet pills when the little boy woke up and started being cranky. I thought he was sick again but his temperature was normal; I tried to give him milk instead but he refused. I just carried him to put him again to sleep but still cranky… so unusual of him. At night, he usually puts himself to sleep or just lies down especially when he sees that Alvin and I are already sleeping beside him. But this time, he was really cranky. :(

Hmmm… I found out that he was just not comfortable with the room temperature and he wanted the AC turned on! When I turned it on, he just lied down and stopped making fuzzy sounds. At first, I thought he was just tired… But when morning came, he was cranky again even after I fed him. I changed his nappy but he was still cranky. Alvin turned on the AC and then the little boy slept again.:)

At two months old, so arte! Gosh, good luck to our electric bill!:D

And now, we are staying in our second room since water is dripping from the AC in the master’s bedroom.

Stressed Out

When my little boy got sick, I was so stressed out… that resulted in acne break out and dry skin. I hate it! I’ve tried some over the counter regimen but no improvement. I need beauty products that will work on me as soon as possible. What’s the best acne treatment from acne product reviews? I badly need it… Poor Mama!:(
